The Movie Library Version History
02/19/06 - v1.9.26
Fixes
- Fixed the run time error '3021'. This error occurred when double
clicking on a row on the Browse form and the view was set to the new View,
Media Type.
02/14/06 - v1.9.24
Enhancement
- Included Media Type as a View and Search Criteria limit.
01/16/06 - v1.8.21
Fixes
- Unfortunately, the so called fix on 11/22/05 did not resolve the issue
entirely. When installing The Movie Library on a new Windows XP there
where still issues. Behind the seen the DAO technology was converted
to the newer ADO technology. The application was tested on a new install
of Windows XP and did not produce the 713 error or 20534 (Error detected by
database DLL).
11/22/05 - v1.7.12
Fixes
- The application was referencing DAO version 3.60 instead of 3.5.
This was causing the error number Error 713 (Class not registered. Looking
for object with CLSID:{00000010-0000-0010-8000-00AA006D2EA4}). The
Movie Library version 1.7.12 resolves error 713.
06/19/05 - v1.7.11
Fixes
- Resolved the error during the database initialization process (InitialiazeDatabase
of Form 'FormMain' ). This issue only occured if shortcuts were used
to access the executable file. The error did not occur if you ran the
executable (Movies.exe) directly or create your own shortcut from the
Movies.exe file.
04/22/05 - v1.6.10
Fixes
- Fixed the issue where the Media Type field would be blank after updating
a record from within the search criteria range.
Enhancements
- Added a count-down display for the description field. Now the user
can see how many characters are available to type in that field.
- Changed the reports headers and footers to 1/2" and the left and right
margins to 3/4". Now the reports can be put into a binder without
cutting off the left side of the report.
- Changed the Media No functionality. Now the user can type a number
or use the already existing functionality of the plus or minus keys to
increment or decrement the number.
- Also, the Media No. now increments after each consecutive record added.
Users did not like the Media Number to stay the say. The history on
that is years ago blank VHS tapes where expensive and most people would
record two or three movies on the same tape but with the lower costs of VHS
tapes and DVD on the market, most cases the numbering system is a one to one
relationship.
- Received request to have the Search form maintain the last known search
while the application is open.
- Added Alt Hot keys to the entire Search form, allowing the user to keep
their hands on the keyboard.
12/30/04 - v1.4.0
Enhancements
- Received several requests to not let the browser form close when double clicking
on a record. In addition, the main form can be navigated while the browser
form remains open.
12/26/04 - v1.3.1
Fixes
- Fixed minor issues with Menus available during add mode. Also, added
double click functionality to the browser form. Double clicking the record
of choice on the browser form will close the browser form and go to the selected
record on the main form.
12/22/04 - v1.1.0
Fixes
- Browser field position fix. Field titles where not identified properly.
11/28/04 - v1.0.0 First release since the Beta release.
